Surface nanoparticle functionalization affects the physical and electronic structure of fluorescent

Well done to Tom Swift, colleagues and collaborators in the Schools of Chemistry, Physics and Biological Sciences for our recent paper in Nanoscale entitled . This paper reveals how the physical and electronic structure of non-toxic fluorescent carbon nano-dots, which are often used as probes to study biological processes, is affected after conjugating different carbohydrates using an arsenal of spectroscopic and analytical techniques.
